A family apiary in the heart of the Pamir

Pchelovod is a small family operation at the foot of the Fann mountains. We tend our hives through the short but intense alpine season — from the first thaw to the last meadow bloom. The honey is raw, unfiltered, and moves as slowly as the bees that make it.

From the mountain meadows

Each variety reflects a different altitude, flora, and moment in the season.

Mountain Wildflower

Multi-floral, collected from alpine meadows at 2,500 m. Deep amber with a complex, slightly resinous finish.

Acacia

Pale gold, slow to crystallize. Delicate aroma and clean sweetness from the lowland acacia groves.

High-Altitude Meadow

Rare. Harvested above 3,000 m during the brief July bloom. Intensely aromatic, limited quantity each year.

Handmade for mountain conditions

Our wooden hives are built from local timber using traditional Tajik techniques passed down through three generations. Each box is sized for mountain colonies — compact enough to carry up steep trails, robust enough to withstand harsh winters.

  • Local timber, hand-joined
  • Designed for high-altitude colonies
  • Available to other apiaries on request
